High Gabriel East Neighborhood in Leander, Texas

The High Gabriel East neighborhood is a neighborhood acreage homes of located just south of the South San Gabriel River on the east side of Highway 183. Streets such as S. Gabriel Drive, High Gabriel East, Riva Ridge & Arroyo Circle are located in the High Gabriel East neighborhood. South San Gabriel Drive follows along the South San Gabriel River so the homes on the north side of the street are waterfront or waterview. There are homes that were constructed in the 1970’s as well as homes as newly constructed as 2001.

Get There

To get to the High Gabriel East neighborhood take 183 north of Leander and turn right on High Gabriel East, Riva Ridge Dr., or South San Gabriel Street.  South San Gabriel St. runs along the South San Gabriel River & there is a low water crossing where you drive through the river to get to the other side where it is called County Road 266. Please excercise caution if you drive through the river! Most use a truck or SUV & cross only when the water is very low.  You can also get to the High Gabriel East subdivision from County Road 269 (off 2243). Take CR 269 to CR 270 where it will Y into Riva Ridge Drive and South San Gabriel.
