Farmer’s Nursery at 1305 Leander Drive in Leander has a lot of native plants, edibles, trees, deer resistant plants, Dillo Dirt, and can deliver. Farmer’s Nursery has an Organic Waste Recycling Program. They take leaves, grass clippings, farm animal bedding, etc. and compost them into beautiful rich living compost for your garden. 512-259-4988. Hill Country Natives in Leander has Native Plants. Ace Hardware at Hwy 183 and 2243 by the railroad tracks has many organic supplies and a few seasonal plants. Lowe’s sells plants and supplies as well. HEB Plus on 2243 at Hwy. 183 has a large garden center in Leander that sells, plants, soils, mulch as well as garden furniture and art. Hill Country Water Gardens at 1407 N. Bell in Cedar Park has an excellent supply of water gardening supplies such as fish, pond liners, pumps, filters and holds classes on putting in water features, etc. Nearby to the north in Jarrell Texas and Florence Texas are many stone quarries to buy stone for your landscape and hardscape features at wholesale or at a reduced cost compared to Leander or Cedar Park sources.

Leander TX Gardening Clubs and Organizations: Leander Texas has a Gardening Club that meets every 4th Thursday at 10:30am at the Presbyterian Church in Leander at 101 N West St. Nearby, in Georgetown, Texas is a very active Texas Native Plant Society group. The Austin Pond Society is very active, meets in Austin, TX at Zilker and holds a Pond Tour every year. My home’s pond was on the Austin Pond Society Pond Tour in 2007, on the night tour in July of 2009 and daytime tour in June 2016.

The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center is always available in Austin for more information on Native Plants and wildflowers. I love to go out and visit the center and have even volunteered there. You will love seeing the Texas Native plants.
