Flatonia Texas is a small Texas town established in 1874 that has much history. Named after F.W. Flato, the town was founded on the cotton and cattle industries. Having rail beginning in the mid 1880’s helped Flatonia’s population grow. It is fun to attend the annual Czhilispiel or chili festival. Children living in Flatonia Texas are able to attend the Flatonia Independent School District.
