Betty Saenz Austin TX REALTOR® Hobbies and Pets
I love organic gardening, gardening for wildlife, native plants, all kinds of pets, horses, horseback riding, swimming, tubing, photography, geneology, history, travel and more. My yard is a National Wildlife Federation Certified Wildlife Habitat. I grow food, provide food and have shelter for various types of wildlife including birds, squirrels, butterflies, bees, dragonflies, frogs and toads. My property was just featured on the Central Texas Garnder. Here is the link to watch the episode that aired in January 2020.
Here is Kingston, my Granddog, fishwatching at my backyard pond. The fish were eating breakfast. I have Koi and Rosie Reds in my pond but my pond also supports Gulf Coast toads, Leopard frogs, dragonflies, damselflies, birds, squirrels and other wildlife. I also have 2 other dogs and a cat. I have always loved animals and have had all kinds of pets in my life including tortoises, turtles, fish, birds, horses, ponies and more. I have also had milk goats – the Nubian breed of goats and a free range chicken flock which were mainly the Jungle Fowl type athletic chickens that safely roosted in the upper rafters of my barn.
I love my state of Texas and enjoy day and overnight trips all over my state. My Grandfather was an early Texas Medical Doctor and I hope to go tour Old Red in Galveston where he attended Medical School. I also visit Hochheim, Texas; Indianola, Texas; New Braunfels, Texas; Seguin, Texas; Lund, Texas; New Sweden, Texas and other Texas towns on family history genealogical adventures.
