Leander TX Retirement Communities 

Cap Rock in Crystal Falls, Leander Texas 78641

Many Seniors want to live away from the big city but close to medical care, shopping and other activities. Cap Rock in Leander, Texas, though not specifically a retirement community, is a great choice. The developer, Bill Hinckley, designed the area so it would work well for “empty nesters” who no longer need the big sprawling home but still want something really nice as well as for families. Nestled in a scenic Hill Country setting by the beautiful Crystal Falls Golf Course, Cap Rock is a great choice.

Cap Rock Leander Medical Care

There are MD’s, optometrists, dental care, chiropractic care and more just down the street on Crystal Falls and nearby on 183, Osage and other areas. The Cedar Park Regional Medical Center hospital and medical offices are nearby, about 10 minutes away. This Regional Hospital at 1401 Medical Parkway in Cedar Park TX opened in December of 2007 and has a full service emergency center, 75 private rooms and offers acute care services.

Georgetown, Texas Retirement Communities

Georgetown Texas, voted the Number One place to retire, is a beautiful community rich in history north of Austin, Texas. Straddling both sides of IH 35, Georgetown is the County Seat of Williamson County and has a beautiful Historic Town Square. Georgetown has many active organizations such as the Williamson County Audoban Group and the Native Plant Society. I attend both when I can. For our Veterans, Ft. Hood is nearby in Killeen, Texas which also has an airport. There also is a VA Hospital just north in Temple, Texas.

There are several retirement communities in Georgetown Texas the most famous of which is Del Webb’s Sun City. Designed for and age restricted to Active Adults age 55 and over, Sun City is beautiful and has many amenities. There are hike and bike trails, an activity center, fitness center, billards hall, 3 championship golf courses. The Sun City Texas Community Association is very active. Current activities include a Deer Census, Weight Management Program and more.

Oaks at Wildwood – Georgetown TX

The Oaks at Wildwood is another great community of 86 homes on 17 acres in Georgetown Texas for Active Adults aged 55 and over. Condo style homes require maintenance. There is a fitness center, clubhouse, heated swimming pool and more.

Heritage Oaks is another Active Adult Community set on 118 acres in Georgetown Texas. A Jimmy Jacobs community, there is a clubhouse, a fitness center that never closes, a game room, library and more.

Texas Traditions is another one of builder Jimmy Jacobs retirement masterpieces.

River Bend is another Georgetown, Texas age-restricted community.
